About the Author

For my, just on, 19 years, I suppose I have had a rather remarkable life. Born in Northern Africa, I was handed over to a Johannesburg hospital. At only 10 days old I was grabbed up by my parents. I'm not going to say biological parents, and adoptive parents, because I dont see any difference. I have never had one of those "crisis", or nervous breakdowns, or even soul searchers about my "Real" parents, and in that respect my life has been relatively unremarkable.

I lived in Jo'burg for awhile until my parents decided they couldn't live in a closet anymore with a new child, a large dog, and a rather promiscuous cat. We moved to Cape Town, and after that to Durban. We lasted only 3 months in Durban before my Mother stood her ground, and refused to live here anymore. The heat was beyond endurance, and Dad came home 4 times a day to have a shower and change his shirt. So we left there back to Jo'burg. Trust me, if you've been there, you know.

After two years, my Dad got promoted to Paris. I went to Pre-School, and Kindgergarten there, and quickly picked up an understanding of french, but not all the speaking skills. A thoroughly confusing situation for my parents, due to the fact I was speaking a hybrid of french, afrikaans and english.

When I was 5-6 yrs we moved back to Sydney, Australia where my Mother was originally from. I lived there for 13 years, and love it from top to bottom. Its cosmopolitan, has beaches, forests, farms, and a modern city. Everything.

When I finished school I headed back to Europe. I've always kept it close to my heart, and my family would travel four times a year overseas on holidays. I worked in Germany, England, and Scotland. But I must admit I did spent the majority of my time in France. The year and a half was worth every minute.

I suppose I have to go into my likes and dislikes, thats the way these little autobiographies go isn't it?

Horse-riding, skiing, art, and reading would have to be several of my passions. Naturally I like to use the computer, and have done a bit of self-teaching in the areas of html, and other completely un-understandable areas. I'm going to university in Sydney, studying BA (media and communications). My aim is to write, whether it be in fiction, or journalism. And no, I don't want to be a tv presenter. Frankly, I dont have the steel hair for the job. I've worked on several magazines, and the atmosphere of complete chaos and madness seems to fit into my natural order of things.

I'm now completely head over heels in love, and living in that wonderful nowhere land where nothing really matters. Hey, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I can only wish that others find the happiness that i did...

I won't go into describing myself, not when I will eventually have a pic. So there it is. The short and curly of my life, in a teeny weeny package.
